My experience over the last 40 years in the Insurance industry has given me a wide array of experience including sales, recruiting, developing others, servicing clients, and much more. It has been a blessing to serve client and to develop people and grow and build partnerships.
I work with our National Broker, Regional Broker, and local Broker partners to drive business. These partnerships are created in conjunction with our field teams, who I support and develop in this area of business. I'm also responsible for training our teams as they learn how to and begin building Broker partnerships.
I worked to recruit and develop new managers and their teams, with a goal of driving sales for the state. In this role, I managed approximately 8 districts managers who were 1099 contractors, along with a Territory Office Manager, Recruiting Consultant, and Territory Sales Trainer of which were W2 employees. I worked jointly with our Regional Broker Manager.
With a few months in the Agency Sales Rep role, then Agency Development Role, I moved into this position quickly.. My goal was to drive sales for my district by recruiting and developing reps. I developed 5 managers that came out and promoted from my district. Our team finished in it's category as #1 the first year! During my 12 years in this role, I qualified for Leaders Conference 5 times, and President's Club 2 times. After my success in this role, I was recommended for the Territory Sales Manager role.
As an independent broker, my job was to obtain new clients for Employee Benefits coverages, and maintain the service for these clients.
I worked with Brokers to place business with this LA based HMO plan that went out of business towards the end of this period.
I worked with Community Health Network-, which was the 2nd HMO brought to the central LA area, after Ochsner's. They were purchased by United HealthCare. My job was to get Brokers to place business with us. I also expanded to cover the Lafayette area during this time.
