Leadership Experience

Leadership in Athletics was a class that substitutes for my gym class. We talked about different positives and negatives within sports and the trials and tribulations that being a leader can bring. In this class, we discussed creating a mascot for our school because we haven't had one in over 20 years. After three years of research and meetings with various significant figures on the school board, we were finally allowed to adopt the Ossining Lion as our new mascot and name. This was a very long and intricate process as we had to survey the district over the course of multiple years, meet with specific administrators, find evidence to back up our data, and more. This was still in the works this year as we finished creating a design for our new logo. I am proud to be involved in the creation of Ossining High School's new mascot and the beginning of the future in Ossining.
