I was given the task to do an energy balance as well as a mass balance over the dryers of the paper mills. I completed this task on excel in such manner that the engineers could use the excel workbook in order to see how the upgrade would affect the flow of the paper mill.

• I used datasheets in order to construct my calculations
• I used assumptions backed with evidenced to sustain the balance
• I learnt much of the operations of a paper mill

I was task with understanding a Hydrometallurgy plant, learning to use the program Syscad and simulate a pressure leaching process with an autoclave. I was also tasked to simulate an entire hydrometallurgy plant.
