  • I was the dance captain of the dance team from the year 2023 - 2024. The dance team is apart of spirit team, which consists of the dance and cheer team. As a team we would perform at football games, basketball games, volleyball games and events that were apart of the high school. As the dance captain, I made sure that all the dances we learned as a team were 'clean', meaning we run the dance over and over again until it looks perfect. The girls that were apart of the team could come to me about any question, comments or concerns that they had about the team or even if they wanted me to tell our coach what they had told me.

College Dance Officer and Co-Captain, Ventura Community College District, June 2024 - Current

  • I am currently the dance officer and co-captain of the Ventura College cheer club. Our cheer club performs at football games and eventually will perform at many other sports events or regular events. As the dance officer, I make up dances for the team to perform and I have the other officers of the club help me, especially my co-dance officer. I also help clean dances, meaning making sure the dances I teach or that are taught by other members are not sloppy, but look really sharp. I am also the co-captain of the team, so I help the captain of the club out with anything that she needs help with. We both communicate and collaborate to make our practice schedules and run them, what music we want to use for the next dances we need to teach, texting important information about what could be happening at the next game and just a lot of organizational things. Any one on the cheer club comes to me with any opinions and concerns and then I tell the captain so we can have a better practice or a football game the next time we have one.
