  • While working at Wyoming Medical Center I was floated countless times to help assist all the other floors with the care of patients. I have improved my skills as a CNA by working on the Emergency Department, Progressive Care Unit, Surgical Unit, Neurological Unit, Pediatric Unit, both Medical Units, and the sitter pool. I know the importance of the suicidal precautions when sitting with a patient that is on a 381 hold/ Baker Act. I know how to transport and assist patients to CT and an MRI. I know how to carefully care for intubated patients with bathing, two hour turns to prevent bed ulcer and changing the linens beneath the patient. I know how to properly work around the respiratory equipment such as the Vent, Bi-pap, C-Pap, high flow if anytime its accidentally disconnected. I was also responsible for creating patient’s charts, printing patient stickers, transferring phone calls, creating call log sheets, and assisting the nurses with anything else they needed.
