My employment at Belk has involved both the back area and on the floor with customers.  My people skills have served me well in both areas.

As an assistant, I worked with the children on their alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes. I was assigned to 2 year old children.

• Maintained a safe play environment by emphasizing and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Administered medications and kept appropriate records.
• Dressed and changed diapers for infants and toddlers.
• Engaged with children on an individual basis in a pleasant manner.
• Communicated with children in developmentally appropriate way.

I've worked in the bakery industry in New York for over ten years.  My skills include cake decorating food preparations, baking, and dealing with customers.  I feel I am great with the public having worked for 30+ years in retail and childcare.  

I have no aversion to cleaning equipment or the work area.  My computer skills are minimal but I am willing to learn.  I have worked the counter, taken orders, answered phones and filled orders.  I have ordered supplies when necessary.  My skills are such that I was often left alone and in charge with no difficulty. 

While employed with Golub Corp., I worked in their bakery.  I was transferred to the deli department in 1998.  I was assisting the deli manager at the time and she was insistent that I be reassigned to her department.  I have worked in the coffee shop and made specialty coffees and beverages.  I worked the counter waiting on customers.  I feel my specialty was making custom platters.  I merchandized display cases of products.
