
I'm a hard working employee. Who has worked for the City of Prescott for 15 plus years. Who would like to use my experience to further my career within the city.
•Plans for operations during inclement weather, equipment malfunctions and extreme staff shortages to ensure all facilities are safely accessible and in compliance with State regulations and facility operating permits.
• Operates equipment including dozers, loaders, and Stationary crane to move and compact solid waste.
• Inspects assigned equipment including lubrication, fuel checks, belt, and cleans equipment as needed.
• Complies with safety regulations and practices and contributes to safety inspections and investigations.
• Monitors solid waste while moving, compacting trash to identify and report any hazardous materials.
• Trains employees in equipment operation, laboring skills and safety practices; provides advice to workers in resolving problems in public contact, maintenance, repair. Gives instructions to other operators.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
• Operates roll off, frontend loader, mini-rear loader, or automated side-loader on predetermined routes to collect commercial and or residential refuse, and/or recyclable materials.
• Performs routine maintenance checks and services on vehicles (e.g., greasing, checking air pressure, oil and other fluid levels, washing, etc.) and determines that vehicle is in proper working condition prior to operation.
• Communicates with general public to provide basic customer service information regarding all Solid Waste Department programs.
Performs other related duties as required.
I am proficient in using all of the computer programs and software systems that the Solid Waste Division uses including: Lucity, Ligo and Munis (for billing and bi-weekly payroll entry) I have run residential, commercial, rear loader routes and roll-off I am efficient on all of the Transfer Station equipment to include the pusher, crane, bulldozer, chipper, backhoe and fee booth
