• Care for patients of all ages recovering from MAC, general, and regional anesthesia by completing frequent assessments and monitoring vital signs. Anticipate and intercept any potential issues to ensure a safe recovery.
• Treat pain, nausea, and other post op symptoms with ordered medications, and provide for general comfort in the PACU environment.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, and all members of the care team.
• Assist with conscious sedation procedures such as TEE, and nerve blocks.

• Provided care to psychiatric patients daily with focus on patient safety.

• Recovered patients of all ages in the immediate post anesthesia phase at this level I trauma center also attached to Blank Children's hospital.
• Extubated patients when met criteria and managed airway according to protocol. Assisted with intubation when necessary.
• Performed phlebotomy and lab draws from lines.
• Later assumed full time charge nurse role:
• Assigned patient to bay and nurse on arrival considering acuity, age, and fairness following ASPAN standards.
• Assisted manager with scheduling, interviews, staff coaching sessions, and medical record and process audits.
• "Superuser" in conversion to EPIC electronic medical record.
• Received "Crucial Conversations" training for managing conflict and difficult conversations.
• Acted as a mentor to staff, responded to emergencies, and resolved issues in a positive and productive manner.

• Staff RN in Transitional Care Unit. Transferred to ICU, then PACU .
• Gained a strong foundation of critical care experience in a mixed intensive care unit at this regional hospital.

While concurrently working in critical care I traveled nationwide to facilities to educate staff on the appropriate use of medical devices of IV therapy manufactured by BBraun Medical including the Introcan safety IV catheter, Horizon IV pumps, and Perfuser syringe pump.
