I am a dually trained Critical Care nurse providing exceptional care to a wide variety of patients.

I am currently the full-time charge nurse of a very busy Interventional Radiology department in a major hospital. As the charge nurse in IR, I serve as the stroke team lead for the Comprehensive Stroke Center's facility team. I manage the daily workflow of a heavy IR caseload of a wide variety of cases and assign daily nursing roles based on RN schedules and competencies. I am responsible for both JCAH compliance and CSC compliance. I serve on the panel for Interventional radiology EMR order sets and revisions. I create monthly Visual Management board content for leader rounds. I serve as the radiology resource covering 5 modalities to include main radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and CT scan. I work closely with patients, families, providers, collaborative departments and outside facilities to provide exceptional patient care.

I remain in the call rotation and administer sedation for a wide variety of cases.

My role as a critical care nurse allows me the opportunity to utilize my skills in managing high acuity patients. I am highly proficient in patient assessment and management, conscious sedation, US IV, difficult IV, EJ certified, Urology Superuser, codes, and EMR charting. As team lead my focus is on patient safety, policies and procedures, patient satisfaction and workflow.

Additionally, I am a current (PRN) RN in the Adult Emergency Department at a major hospital performing all duties regarding the critical care of patients presenting with a wide variety of medical issues ranging from Cardiac care, Orthopedics, Respiratory, LVAD, General Med-Surg, Stroke, Behavioral Health, Post-operative complications, Urological problems and ICU patients.

In my current role as a staff RN, I often serve as Team Lead. I am proficient in emergency triaging of patients, and managing critical situations. I am Bon Secours certified and proficient in external jugular IV insertion, US IV insertion, and Stroke certified. I am detail oriented and proficient with EMR's (ConnectCare) and documentation of all pertinent information.

I am currently serving as the SMH Adult ED Urology “Super User”.

I have extensive patient, staff, and family communication skills and enjoy working with a team that is committed to

providing quality healthcare. I work well both on a team and autonomously, have strong work ethics, detailed oriented, and am comfortable in a managerial role or in a staff position.

pharmaceutical management, set-up and maintenance of sterile field, implant ordering and quality assurance,

drain management, IV therapy and maintenance, patient recovery, patient care and discharge/education. Sterile processing of all surgical equipment and OR

suite care.

Hired to supervise and oversee new Neurosurgery surgical program and suites. Responsible for obtaining

surgeons' equipment and instrumentation requests. Worked with Materials Management, Capital Budget

Committee and staff to acquire necessary instrumentation, equipment, patient positioning devices for

optimal patient care for patients undergoing Neurosurgery procedures. Efficiently scrubbed all neurosurgical

procedures. Coordinated Medical Sales representatives to train entire surgical staff on proper use and

maintenance of Neurosurgical equipment and positioning devices. Responsible for the ordering and maintenance of all disposable and non-disposable Neurosurgical equipment.

Assisted Dr. Jeffrey Steinberg, reproductive endocrinologist, & Dr. Patrick Steptoe with specimen maintenance and procedures. Procedures included IVF, Embryo transfer, surgical retrieval of oocytes via multi follicular cyst aspiration,GIFT (gamete intra-fallopian transfer), and ZIFT (zygote intra-fallopian transfer).

*Prepared and assisted patients for all procedures and transfers.

*Maintained suite climate and equipment for optimal transfer success.

*Monitored, positioned, recovered, and discharged patients.

Hired to assist as Operating Room consultant and Surgical Technologist to create OR suites. Consulted with

hospital officials to obtain proper equipment necessary to operate 2 full-time surgical suites according to OSHA standards. Ordered all surgical instrumentation and equipment.
