Engineering Intern
1 Year 3 Months- Supported roadway, bridge, and drainage projects through field inspections, surveying/layout, construction coordination, and project monitoring.
- Coordinated with contractors, engineers, supervisors, and highway crews to track project progress, address field issues, and support successful project execution.
- Performed field layout and pavement-marking operations, including roadway coding and placement of reference ticks for line striping on newly paved roads.
- Assisted with the construction and coordination of an in-house bridge superstructure replacement, including beam, deck, paving, and guide-rail operations, while supporting the coordination and oversight of additional in-house and contracted infrastructure projects.
- Supported drainage and stormwater projects through culvert inspections, field assessments, and hands-on construction activities.
- Participated in pre-construction meetings and assisted with engineering plans and specifications, gaining experience with project scope, scheduling, constructability, and field coordination.
