• Achieved ISO 14001 Certification (Lead Auditor). Results: Qualified to conduct global audits. Saved the company thousands of dollars on outside auditor's fees.
• Achieved The Joint Commission Accreditation. Results: Three hospitals and a free-standing ambulatory care facility received The Gold Seal of Approval.
• Implemented new sharps safety devices in all the plasma centers according to the new OSHA standard. Results: Reduced needle stick injuries by 80% while eliminating lost work time and occupational health costs.
• Streamlined annual safety training to include OSHA requirements for the existing and newly acquired plasma centers (101 total). Results: Safety training is uniformed which makes it cost effective for an employee to work at any of the plasma centers.

• Established and systemized electronic workers' compensation report tracking database. Results: The Environmental Health and Safety team was able to track workers' compensation cases quicker for updating and closure.
• Reduced OSHA injury frequency rate by 70% by educating the entire sites nurses and employees. Results: The safety program is run more efficiently, and the workplace is safer.
• Established preventative Ergonomic Program. Results: Reduced ergonomic injury rate by 40%.
• Organized an ergonomic study by a certified ergonomist to evaluate the repetitive job tasks throughout the plasma facilities. Results: It was determined that the tasks were not qualified as repetitive motion tasks, which eliminated several OSHA recordable injuries.

• Reduced Regulatory hazardous waste materials by working with other environmental Health and Safety professionals on a Green Belt project. Results: Saved the company $100,000 per year.
