• Co-facilitate a group for Wellness Wednesdays activities.
• Advocate for the student as part of the intervention process and contact family members/providers as needed.
• Adhere to Mandated Reporting laws. Report child abuse and neglect. Seek support from the Supervisor or Academy Leader when faced with the need to report.
• Attend the Child Study Team and other staff meetings prepared to present cases.
• Come to individual supervision prepared with questions, observations, & requests for input & feedback.
• Read and understand Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
• Identify what barriers exist for clients and their community through the lens of oppression and discrimination.
• Identify and discuss socio-economic differences and how those differences influence thought, behavior, and access to services.
• Discuss the behaviors of clients and the ways the agency, system, community, and society promote or deter them from achieving health and well-being from a Clinical Social Work perspective.
