Every since I can remember I always knew I wanted to work in the Health Care Field. To begin with I wanted to become a Neonatal Nurse and work in the NICU. After two years in the nursing program at Shelton State I decided this was not what I was expecting and started thinking of other health care options. I always loved going to the dentist and started looking into what it took to become a dental Hygienist. I started out working as a Dental Assistant in 2000 and then went on to receive my Dental Hygiene License in 2005. I have been working in the Dental Field for 22 years. I took a 5 year break to be a stay at home mom when my third child was born. Once he was ready to enter into the school system I wanted to go back to work part time as I also wanted to be involved in my children's activities through out their school years. The opportunity presented itself at my current office to work 2 days a week. Throughout the last 11 years I have worked any where from 1 day a week to 4 days a week depending on the needs of the office. I am currently working 3 days a week and have been since 2017.
Outside the Dental Office
I have been married to my husband since September 23rd 2000. Most all of our free time away from work is involved in our children's activities. We have three children.

Occasionally I would preform Dental Hygiene duties as I did have my Hygiene license. However, I preferred to assist patients on the treatment area of Dentistry. During those appointments where I would preform Dental Hygiene my duties included but not limited to.
I preformed duties previously listed.
However in my last two years there I had my own Dental Hygiene schedule to run and maintain.
