My job duties include knowing how to perform all x-ray exams ordered by physicians, having knowledge to enforce image gently and reduce radiation exposure for all patients and their families. Equipped with working in a timely manner and establishing good communication and understanding with patients and their families to ensure both great imaging and comfort of the patient. Also, performing both inpatient and outpatient exams, ER exams, orthopedic exams, and portable exams. Knowing proper phone etiquette along with proper communication etiquette with colleagues, patients, families, etc. also having good knowledge of radiation protection when needed to explain to colleagues or patients.

Job responsibilities included answering pager for set location for the day and performing each x-ray that was requested. Ensuring what examination was for in terms of tubes, lines, etc. Ensuring that all ER patients were examined and attended to and helping colleagues when there were no requests from pager for x-rays. Attending all scheduled orders were taken care of by the end of the shift and notes were left for shift change, ensuring that colleague beginning shift had information. Clear knowledge of radiation protection and informing patients, staff, and family members. Reporting to shift lead when needed and taking call when needed.
