Starting in the mining industry at a young age . I worked as a Lobor hand, mechanic and equipment operator through out my school years . after attending 2 year college, I returned to Ketten Enterprises . As the General manager/ CEO , I was in charge of a diverse General contractor / aggregate production operation. We were also structural movers and asphalt laydown contractors .
I then moved to mining and aggricultual company's . Anderson hay was another company that i found myself filling many rolls . Quality production on a difficult schedule was the key to success and doing it under budget and with a perfect safety record was the ultimate goal. We found success for several years but plant production was shifted to another location and the facility was shut down .
When I came to Premier Magnesia, I hired on as a Journeyman Millwright/electrician .I futhered My knowledge of PLC's and other modern technologies .I worked my way to Gerneral Maintenance Superintendent where I was responsible for up 40 people direct reports. I was also managing 1000 assets and working for increased production and continuous improvements to aid in reliability and cost savings .Safety culture development and continual improvement to insure safety compliance was a primary goal,
I moved on to Albemarle , Looking to further my experience and knowledge. Working With the team at Silver Peak opened up my knowledge to what a good support team in a maintenance and engineering group can be worth . The company had some difficult times and I left prior to a layoff .
I Then lead the Mobile fleet maintenance group for Cobra Industrial Services at the Tonopah Solar Tower project . I enjoyed working in this roll and found the company to be solid . I left Cobra when I was contacted by premier Magnesia , They had come into a difficult situation with a contractor doing poor repairs and a maintenance group in chaos due to turn over and poor supervision . I agreed to return to try to "right the ship " Having been back for almost two years all major critcal is repaired and back in good working order with solid reliabilty. In 2022 extreme cost and low reliabity plagued the operation. In 2023 the plant turned around and set new all time production records for the plant and was able to do this under budget . I currently continue to work in this roll as Maintenance Manger leading our team of Millwrights Mobile techs and electrical techs to continue improvements and maintenance.
