Pursuing a new career in a medical environment intrigues and excites me. I feel that my past experiences line up with the demands of many entry level jobs in the medical field. Answering phone calls as well as communicating with the guests is very important when it comes to jobs in reception, which I have learned from my previous jobs in restaurants. Managing time, teamwork and working in a fast paced environment is also something I excel in, and will carry over with me to this field. I believe my interests will continue to grow as I learn this new field of work. It is my hope that I can develop skills and a passion in this field, and carry them on to further my education and hopeful career in the medical field.
As a server, I provide excellent customer service in an attentive and timely manner while multitasking and navigating a fast paced and demanding work environment. During a shift, I must collaborate and work as a team with the kitchen staff as well as my fellow servers to provide the best service to all of the guests that visit the restaurant.
During my time at Ambrosia, I was exposed to a much more sophisticated work environment. I was expected to dress highly professional here and to provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests. As a hostess, I answered phone calls to make reservations and offered multiple solutions to customers if a time or date did not work with their schedule. Customer service and satisfaction as well as a positive work attitude was a must have at Ambrosia, and my skills in these were refined during my time here.
Before I became a server at Grimaldi's, I was a hostess. During my time hosting, I communicated directly and clearly with customers about wait times on a table and on food when they were sat in the restaurant. I learned to communicate and work as a team with servers to asses their needs as well as the customers to ensure quality service.
As a dishwasher, organization, cleanliness and time management were the key to success. During my time here, I first learned the basis of the restaurant industry and the skills that go into place in this environment.
