I am a talented and relentless leader who is passionate with creating excellent results. I am knowledgeable in all aspects of running a successful kitchen or multiple sites, which include, but are not limited to ordering food and supplies, filling out a production record, cooking, leading and training staff. Safety and sanitation procedures are always a priority under my guidance. I am also aware of the components the students are required to take in order to have a complete reimbursable meal. I have obtained my ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification as well as ServSafe Certified Instructor and Registered Proctor certificate. I have a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Management and Human Resources.
Over the past 13.5 years that I have been employed with Ontario-Montclair School District, I have been fortunate to help and be trained on various jobs in the district. I subbed as a Lead at both elementary sites, as well as middle school sites where I became comfortable working with different people and communicating with school staff including the principals. I also assisted the Food Services Meal Application Specialist in processing Meal applications. I was also trained and subbed for the Senior Purchasing Assistant. While subbing for the Senior Purchasing Assistant, I was in charge of creating P.O's, staying in touch with the vendors, making sure we received items ordered on a daily basis and that they were accurately billed to us, by referencing the invoices. I also created work orders and requested estimates in order to get various items purchased and/or serviced. This allowed me to see a bigger picture of the entire Food and Nutrition Services operation.
