Employed as contractor for New York Department of Homeland Security Emergency Services(DHSES) in position of Public Disaster Assistance Representative(PDAR) as an advocate for applicants in both FEMA declared disasters DR4615-NY (flooding remnants of Hurricane Ian), and DR4480-NY COVID pandemic. Regarding DR4615-NY, attended online conference of site inspection meetings on a weekly basis. Went out on assigned onsite inspections with FEMA site team and inspectors, mitigation inspector, City University of New York or New York Office of Management and Budget to inspect, assess flood damages to facilities and sites. These include; HVAC, electrical, air vent systems, state buildings, education facilities, boiler rooms, sink holes, public parks, and mitigation inspections. Clarified information on Site Inspection Report and reported after every inspection. Kept analysis activity in Grants Portal of all projects assigned to in disaster. Prepared for project closeouts assessing applicants P-4 and answered questions towards closeout process. Regarding DR4480-NY, worked in Grants Portal application to review and/or upload project specific documents such as Contract Summaries, Damage Inventory, Invoices, Force Account Labor Summaries, Procurement Policy, Disposition Letters, and Materials Summaries to further develop project scope.
