Certified Nursing Assistant

Cheyenne VA Medical Center
08.2021 - Current

I am a team player .Work well with others. I am always trying to anticipate the next move to better utilize my time and make sure that I can get everything done in a timely fashion while still following the VA mission and Vision to serve those that fought for us by organizing, coordinating, problem solving with follow up checks to ensure the programs are working effectively so any stressful situations are avoided.

I am aware of the VA procedures and policies. I stay up to date on the development of new policies and programs that enable me to work within the healthcare organization. I would like to use this position opportunity to show my ability to be flexible and develop and maintain positive relationships. To show my problem solving skills and ability to organize and conduct follow ups in a different setting than I currently work in.

During my time as a certified nursing assistant I have filled in at various other details at the request of my superiors, in the last place I worked. Including working in the kitchen, therapy department and working in housekeeping/laundry, assistant the scheduler, then going on to become the scheduler. I have assisted in activities and in putting away the supplies that were ordered and organizing the area where they were stored. I have volunteered at the nursing home where I was employed assisting in the daycare program that was connected to our facility and I organized and planned the programs in my son's scout troop to help the den leader.
