Work History

Tool and Die Maker

Ronal Tool Company
York, PA
04.1987 - Current

I have worked in the trade since February 1977 and for the last 37 years at Ronal. I have used all shop equipment from Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Wire EDM and Sinker EDM. Using all measuring equipment made parts from sketches and drawling. Built Die parts and Whole Dies. Built Mold tooling and Molds completely from start to finish. along the way making tooling parts from all kinds of Steel from Tool steels A-2 D-2 CPM-10 to all the stainless steels to titanium. All of these require the knowledge to what type of tooling and the machinery to manufacture a good

quality part. I've taken dies that were running parts with a problem, pulled them apart and diagnosed the tooling issues and machined the replacement parts installed them and got the Dies running properly again. Inspected parts before and after to make sure the parts were to specs.

During the time spent at Ronal we had a number of Apprentices that I had a big hand in training them on our shop equipment and emphasize the need for safety while doing there job correctly.
