regulation, heat rate, combustion, and feedwater/steam flow path.
Understands and applies principles of steam generators and combustion generators.
Complies with information provided on Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all products. Handles
and stores items properly.
Responds to emergency situations.
Records operating data on log sheets. Starts and stops water and oil pumps. Checks for proper
lubrication, unusual noise, vibration, and bearing temperatures. Changes oil in bearings as needed.
Monitors cooling water systems maintaining temperatures and flows in accordance with proper
operating procedures.
Receives fuel oil and sounds fuel oil tanks to maintain fuel oil inventory statistics.
Checks, monitors, and records operation of fossil fired steam electric generating units and associated
equipment including steam generators (boilers) and steam turbine generators.
