Summary

I'm an honest, dependable person with an excellent work history and would welcome an opportunity to work for you. I recently retired from the US Postal Service after 40 years service. For the last 20 years I was a Lead Sales and Service Associate with many varied sales and customer service duties. As a classroom and OJT instructor I taught and guided other clerks in the performance of retail window service duties to include selling stamps and postal services, weighing, measuring and applying correct postage to all mail using a POS system to perform customer purchases and returns. I answered customer inquiries and provided information to the public regarding postal regulations and processed insurance claims for lost or damaged items. I maintained inventory of supplies, stamps, and reserve cash and ordered as necessary. I was responsible for getting change from the bank and prepared daily bank deposit. I'm proficient with computer operations to maintain records and reports. I maintained the store appearance by setting up, arranging, and replenishing displays and merchandise racks, making everything neat and presentable to customers. I issued and transferred fixed credits of cash and merchandise between employees and counted cash drawers and stock inventory as necessary. Previous postal positions I held were bulk mail technician, forwarding clerk and letter sorting machine operator. I was an excellent employee and have a great work ethic and at this time in my life I'd like to continue making a difference.
