Create a safe space for students within the school community where they feel comfortable discussing their concerns individually or in a group setting or seeking guidance from counselors or staff members.
Promote a positive school environment by fostering strong relationships among staff, parents, and students.
Implement a comprehensive guidance/character education curriculum that addresses the academic, career, and social-emotional development of all students.
Participate in IEP meetings to advocate for the needs of special education students, ensuring access to appropriate resources and support services.
Facilitate conflict resolution among peers, resulting in improved classroom dynamics and reduced behavioral issues.
Collaborate with teachers to identify students in need of additional support, providing tailored counseling services through the I&RS.
Head the 504 committee and write 504 Plans for all students.
Serve as the HIB Bulllying Specialist and and assist in developing school-wide policies around bullying prevention efforts that lead to a decrease in reported incidents.
Manage crisis situations effectively, providing timely intervention and referrals to outside agencies when necessary and serve as the Chair of the School Climate Team.
Facilitate teacher and parent consultations, improving collaborative support network for students.
Complete Threat Assessments alongside our School Psychologist to ensure student safety and plan appropriate next steps.
Head of Sunshine Committee and plan celebrations and self-care activities for staff to enhance morale and positivity.
