Pharmacy Technician

Walgreens
08.2020 - 01.2023
  • I am in charge of helping the Pharmacist job go smoother when on duty
  • I am responsible for getting the medications that the patients need filled and sell them to patients when they are picking them up
  • I've also restocked medications and typed in prescriptions when needed
  • By being a pharmacy technician I've learned more organizing skills since everything needs to be organized in order for the pharmacy's flow to be efficient by placing papers in correct folders/areas and putting ready medications in the correct bin so when the patient picks the medication other technicians can find the medication easily.

SEASONAL

Camp Kindred
06.2021 - 07.2021
  • I was a camp counselor for a few weeks at camp kindred
  • While getting prepared for camp we were required to complete CPR training and get certified
  • I learned the most efficient ways to do CPR and help with first aid situations
  • The first week of training I got hands-on experience with a CPR professional
  • I also developed more communication skills since I had to communicate constantly with other co-counselors and other colleagues
  • When camp started I took care of a group of campers while doing camp activities with them
  • First thing in the morning I had to take the campers' temperature and ask some screening questions to make sure they were not having any COVID-19 symptoms
  • I also helped them in any of their needs and made sure they were healthy throughout camp by making sure they took the medications they needed to take on a daily basis
  • I would make sure they were keeping high hygiene while at camp and helping them do their hair whenever they needed an extra hand.

Temperature screener

Interim Healthcare
04.2020 - 06.2020
  • I made sure that the employees haven't had contact with someone who has COVID-19 by asking them if they have or haven't
  • If they haven't, I then check their body temperature to see if it's at an average temperature
  • The company provides equipment to protect us while getting close to others while working
  • We do this in order to keep others safe in the company and minimize the spread of COVID-19
  • If one of the employees comes to work with a high temperature or was near somebody that has COVID-19 I have to make sure that person leaves the building without making contact with another employee and give them instructions for the steps that must be taken before returning to work
  • I then have to sanitize the area where the person is and dispose of all of the equipment I was wearing and get new equipment before making contact with another employee.
