· Registered Nurse for Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry units, Per diem 12-hour shift, two per month
· Provides nursing care to inpatient clients diagnosed with mental illnesses and/or illegal substance dependencies as well as acute/chronic medical illnesses.
· Advises nurse manager, resident and attending physician on major nursing and patient issues, personnel, and administrative concerns.
· Exercises good judgment by making sound and well-informed decisions involving patient care and the use of the electronic health record.
· APACHE Data Entry Specialist- Collected ICU admission information, ICU physiology data and active treatment information from daily ICU flow sheets for all patients in the Surgical Intensive Care unit to determine mortality, length of stay and need for active treatment.
· Educational Coordinator of Information Systems- Administered educational training of to all healthcare clinicians and ancillary personnel interacting with the electronic health record software systems.
· Registered Nurse, Full Partner, Department of Adult Psychiatry
· Provides nursing care to inpatient/outpatient adult clients diagnosed with mental illnesses and/or illegal substance dependencies.
· Provides bed management and triage services to local and regional hospitals seeking psychiatric inpatient admissions for adult, geriatric, and pediatric psychiatric admissions.
· Proficient in all hospital and Joint Committee on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards for documentation to ensure accuracy and patient confidentiality.
· Serves on unit-based Clinical Practice, Professional Development, and Scheduling committees.
· Preceptor for nursing students attending local area schools of Nursing.
· Responsible for automating unit paper forms to computerized forms and responsible for training the staff how to utilize the electronic forms.
