With 21 years of experience in teaching English learners, including 14 years in Texas and 7 years in Georgia with extensive SIOP training, I have developed a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by ESL students. My commitment to bridging communities, school staff, and students as a cohesive unit has been a cornerstone of my professional journey. Currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Second Language Acquisition at the American College of Education, my research focuses on family-based education to empower them to engage positively in their children's academic journey. My goal is to target long-term English learners, facilitating their transition to academic success and fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.
