In April of 2021 I became the Quality and Inventory Supervisor for Parts Town. In this role I'm responsible for both the quality and quantity of all company inventory as well as reporting on the various causes to profit losses for the company to upper management. Currently working 6AM-3PM but can return phone calls, emails and texts at noon and all afternoon.
In March of 2021 I crafted an SOP for the Returns process in the Distribution Center to streamline performance and protocol as well as SOPs for handling and investigating customer complaints with inventory and streamlining shipping exception orders for customers respectively.
In August of 2020 I became the Inventory Control Team Lead in order to help guide team members in day to day operations.
Since January of 2018 I have been a member of the Parts Town Employee Appreciation Committee. As a member of this committee I have coordinated with members of the office that are also on the committee to organize many events to demonstrate the admiration Parts Town has for it's team members.
When the new DC was opened, we put on an open house for all Parts Town team members and they're families which included balloons and face painting for the children of team members, games and snacks, as well as tours of the distribution center capped by a showcase of our innovative AutoStore inventory system (including 3 tours I personally conducted).
I played a large role in promoting awareness and donations for Men's Health month by helping to organize a month long moustache contest dubbed "No Shave November."
We also organized an opening weekend viewing of the 2019 Lion King film for team members and their families.
In January of 2019 I accepted the role of Inventory Exceptions Specialist. In this role I coordinated with Parts Town's manufacturing partners to ensure accurate inventory was delivered to the DC for distribution to our customers.
Springboarding from my experience in this role, I took on the responsibility of being the Inventory Synchronization Specialist: a role created to better manage the inventory levels and adjustments for our on hand stock.
In October of 2017 I accepted the role of Return Specialist. In this role I was responsible for inspecting all Parts Town items returned to the distribution center. I used the HighJump and Syspro systems to not only expand my operations knowledge, but I also gained exposure to office procedures as I coordinated with members of Purchasing, Returns and Warranties, and Accounting for certain problem orders that required more of a team effort.
I also have experience in the role of Putaway, periodically flexing to this role when the department would be shorthanded.
I was also responsible for assembling orders picked from all the different areas of the warehouse and distributing said orders to the packing team.
In July of 2015. I started as a Packer in the Distribution Center.
After distinguishing myself as a Packer I was offered and accepted a role as a Picker. As a Picker I helped fulfill orders for items ranging from small bolts and screws to large doors and fryers.
From 2004 through 2015 I worked at the Menards Home Improvement Store in Melrose Park, IL.
For the first six years of my time at Menards, I was a sales associate while receiving my Bachelors Degree at Columbia College of Chicago.
After receiving my B.A. I was promoted to Department Manager for the Hardware Department which housed all home improvement items from gardening needs to power tools.
