As a Facilities Technical Assistant at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) I play a key role in maintaining technical equipment, studio spaces, and campus facilities to ensure a safe and functional environment for students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include setting up and troubleshooting film, audio, and lighting equipment; performing routine maintenance and repairs; and assisting with studio and classroom configurations. The role also supports student productions, workshops, and events by managing equipment checkouts, ensuring proper setup, and enforcing safety protocols. Additionally, I help maintain inventory logs, reports facility issues, and ensures compliance with safety standards. Other responsibilities also include helping set up and break down events, make pick ups and drop offs with company vehicle, and putting together office equipment.
