I am currently a freshman at Colorado State University, majoring in Animal Science with a pre-veterinary focus. I am working towards my long-term goal of vet school in the future, where I hope to gain the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact on animals' lives.
Throughout high school, I gained hands-on experience through volunteering at local animal shelters and taking animal science and pre-vet courses, where my passion for animal health grew significantly and solidified my career goals. These experiences aided in the development of skills such as animal handling, teamwork, communication, leadership, time management, and problem-solving. I’ve earned the Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification and the Elanco Fundamentals of Animal Science Certification, which gave me a strong foundation in animal care and veterinary practices.
Currently, I am involved in the pre-vet club at Colorado State University, where I get to further explore my interest in veterinary sciences and connect with like-minded people. I am particularly interested in pursuing a career in veterinary ophthalmology and improving animals' lives through specialized care, though I am very interested in every field of veterinary science and am open to pursuing various career focuses.
