I will start by saying I am a dynamic server with a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service. I have expertise in effective upselling, cash handling, and multitasking in high-pressure environments. I started in food service at age 11, helping in the kitchen of one of our family restaurants. We had a total of 34 restaurants spanning 5 states for over 3 decades with 8 separate concepts. My Step father was president of Arkansas Hospitality association and my love of all things culinary blossomed at Cajun's Wharf (owned by Mary Beth Ringold AHA President the year after my father's term ended). I have been trained for and have worked all tasks in the restaurant industry. I have worked with and know the subtle nuances that separate an establishment from a fine establishment.
I left the industry to pursue a career in sales for Heartland Payment Systems (National Restaurant ASSN endorsed merchant services provider) where I worked before and after college. In sales I refined my customer relationship skills.
I have lobbied in Washington DC on behalf of the Louisiana Delegate of the National Restaurant Association in 2016, and my mother was the first female board member voted onto the board of directors of the Louisiana Restaurant Association. For me, the restaurant business has been a lifelong, family affair that I am very passionate about. The guests are the number one reason I love the restaurant business. Caring for others is in my genes and is my passion. I am attentive, intuitive, traveled, and extremely well versed in cuisine ranging from Cajun food, Mexican/Latin American, classical French, Italian, and more. I've tasted well over 400 wines and have an advanced palate for suggestions and pairings. My propensity for asking proper questions makes such tasks natural for me.
