As the intensive support manager, I oversee the entire 24 hour home healthcare program for our organization. This program employ's approximately 200 people and serves 55 clients with various disabilities/high medical needs. I am responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our clients, as well as creating/maintaining relationships with the community. I provide direct support for our employees and make sure that we stay in compliance with the state while working closely with DDA. I ensure that our clients receive high quality care while also managing various employees.
YESS Camp is a summer camp for children ages 6-22 with physical and developmental disabilities. YESS is an outing based program that keeps the individuals active in the community during the summer months. I oversaw 40 high school students as well as 15 staff members on a weekly basis.
I have worked in the food industry for a total of 5 years.
This was a partial internship that was spent working with kids at a Therapeutic Recreation based summer camp. The camp was put on by the city's Parks and Recreation Department so I worked closely with them throughout my time there.
I finished my internship at Easterseals (a non-profit for persons with disabilities) and helped with new programming for the facility, as well as implementing Recreational Therapy activities throughout the orgranization.
