Lead language arts and science teacher for first and second grade students. Develop multi-sensory lesson plans that meet current NYS standards while anticipating individual student needs. In absence of lead teacher, assumed all responsibilities including: creation and implementation of lesson plans, classroom and behavior management and supervision of all support staff.

Supported students in both regular education and special education settings. Spent portion of each day providing 1:1 support to eleventh grade special education students with academic, behavioral and physical differences. Collaborated with general education and special education teachers as well as social workers, psychologists and case managers to provide comprehensive and effective support to students.

Supervised complete center operations for non-profit childcare center serving 150+ children (12 full-day classrooms as well as before and after-school program for school age children). Trained and managed full and part-time staff of 40+employees). Responsible for interviewing, hiring and conducting educational workshops. Collaborated with outside agencies to identify and secure various services for children and families within center (EI, CPSE, NYS Office of Children and Family Services and DSS).

Supervised daily center operations for tutorial program that provided services to children in kindergarten through college. Completed initial intake and diagnostic evaluations and presented results and recommendations for services. Worked as liaison between center and neighboring school districts to provide ongoing feedback regarding student progress. Conducted staff interviews, observations, evaluations and weekly meetings.
