Completed 400+ hours of supervised fieldwork in an animal studies-related setting. Gained hands-on experience in the Ambassadors Department at ZooTampa, developing skills in high-pressure environments and practical applications of animal studies principles. While the internship was not fully completed due to financial and housing constraints, the experience significantly enhanced my ability to adapt, problem-solve, and work effectively in a zoological setting.

Integrated four years of coursework and field experience to analyze key issues in the animal studies field. Conducted capstone research on the pet trade and the role of AZA-accredited facilities in supporting the health and sustainability of animal populations both in situ and ex situ.
