Full Time

• Overseeing all aspects of the nursery and ensuring high quality plant material is sent to the customers.
• Plant care, organization, and diagnostics for a wide variety of over 15,000 plants per year (annuals, perennials, shrubs/trees).
• Creating and implementing nursery policies/procedures that increase plant health and decrease manual labor hours.
• Communicating between sales staff, purchasers, and crews.
• Building relationships with the growers.
• Plant identification, propagation, and organization.
• Staff training, delivery organization, job organization, disease and pest identification/eradication, data entry and analysis, heavy machinery operation, winterizing plant material, fertilizing, pruning, watering, heeling, weeding.

Part Time

Warm Season Responsibilities:

• Mowing experimental turf plots.
• General mower maintenance.
• Leaf removal and garden maintenance.

Cold Season Responsibilities:

• Designing garden beds.
• Care for overwintering turf samples (trimming, pest and disease observations, watering).
• Operating a fork lift.
• Shop chores.

Part Time

• Assisting in all nursery operations.
• Plant identification and organization.
• Unloading deliveries.
• Vendor visits and plant pick-ups.
• Operating light to heavy machinery (weed wacker, blower, chainsaw, skid loader, etc.).
• Watering, weeding, fertilizing, pruning, winterizing.

Part Time

• Basic cleaning responsibilities for the school and its aircrafts.
• Created a sanitary work environment with regular maintenance.
• Cleaning inside the school building (vacuuming, mopping, trash disposal, disinfecting surfaces, etc.).
• Keeping the school's 15 airplanes looking professional by washing the exteriors and cleaning the interiors.
• Greeting students/visitors and answering questions.
