I will be graduating from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Minor in History. My non-school hours have been dedicated to pursuing my passion in assisting underprivileged or hospitalized children in various capacities. I have a deep-rooted desire to make a positive impact in the intra- and inter-personal lives of children. My aim is to dedicate my career to helping children whom are experiencing mental health challenges.
During my Undergraduate years at UCLA, I have had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse group of peers with whom issues of social and racial inequalities are discussed. Through these discussions, I recognized that domestic abuse is prevalent issue that crosses all social, racial and cultural groups. I therefore obtained a Certificate from the State of California as a Domestic Violence Counselor so as to improve my skills in this field. I hope to take my knowledge into the social work/therapeutic field to educate others and provide fellow clients with the resources I have learned. And I hope to further education myself so as to be of service to the greater Los Angeles Community.
