- Areas of responsibility include Interventional Radiology, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET CT, General and High-risk OB Ultrasound, and Diagnostic X-ray at an 815-bed hospital, and associated hospital outpatient department locations
- Responsibility includes Mission Hospital, Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Reuters Children’s, Mission Cancer Center, Mission My Care Now Biltmore Park, Mission My Care Plus Candler, Care Partners, Multiple Mission Imaging Services locations, clinics and practices
- Asheville Surgical Center and support for Asheville Pulmonology, Mission Urology, and Hope Women’s Cancer Center
- Direct involvement with the design, implementation and transitional planning of a $404 Million hospital tower expansion

- Reduction in scheduled to completed exam times for emergency department patient population for CT (-10.6% for 10-minute decrease) US (-5.9% for 7-minute decrease), MRI (-7.1% for 12-minute decrease) and diagnostic imaging (-11.5% for 6-minute decrease) for a departmental average of -9% resulting in a decrease of nine minutes from scheduled to completed
- As part of a collaboration with patient transport, cardiology and imaging was able to change process resulting in -9.4% of nursing time off floor and 13.5% improvement in radiology to floor transport times
- Partnered with cardiology team to support cardiology growth
- Without additional equipment was able to increase MRI cardiac volumes by 32%
- As part of 256 CT scanner was able to work closely with cardiologist and nursing teams to increase cardiac volumes by 32%
- With this change wait time from ordered to schedule decreased from 56 to less than 14 days
- Worked with teams to obtain Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology and becoming the second facility within North Carolina to obtain this quality designation
- Optimized efficiency and performance allowing a 12.5 FTE reduction
- Approval of multi-modality technologist position and pay tiers to provide growth and recognition for our technologist with multiple certifications working to support several modalities.
