To start, I strongly believe I would be a good choice to step up and take the role of captain of this 2026–2027 volleyball season. I don't want it just for a title and to brag saying I got this and you didn't I want to be captain because im willing to carry every responsibility that comes with it. Every practice I take a second to look up at the wall in the gym with the volleyball banner and visualize are year being up there with district champions. I will do my best to motivate the team to have what I like to call the districts drive. No ones perfect, I know im definitely not and there will be wins and losses I don't want the team to be afraid to make mistakes this whole game of volleyball is about making mistakes, l instead want them to be more afraid knowing they didn't give everything they had. loosing is always a horrible feeling to have but whats a more horrible feeling is after knowing you held back but its too late to show it once the games over. I would say im a very coachable player, and I genuinely enjoy learning new things, listening to different perspectives, and finding ways to improve my skills. I feel its such a gift in life that theres people out there that want to see me do good and are willing to help me get there. I want to be that person to somebody and I feel if im granted the role of captain I can lead by example. I will hold myself and others accountable, bring people together, and help everyone stay positive when things get difficult. Volleyball means so much more to me than simply being a sport/hobby. Throughout my Highschool experience I have faced many difficult challenges, and there were times when life felt to overwhelming to handle, but volleyball has always been a place for me to breathe and quiet all the noise in my head and focus on something I loved and have fun while doing it wether that was competing in a season match or just messing around in PE with some of my friends. I know everyone has there own struggles there going through. I have learned how important it is to have people around you who make you feel supported. Every person on a team deserves to feel included and its never them on there own. I know what it feels like to feel left out or like you don’t belong, which is why I made it my personal priority everyone feels included. If I see a teammate being put down, excluded, or treated disrespectfully, I will not ignore it. I will speak up and stand up for my teammates. Playing Volleyball, Softball, and Basketball has taught me how to balance school, athletics, and responsibilities while still being a dependable teammate. Finally I want to earn my teammates trust through my actions my consistency, and the way I treat people its something I take seriously. I want to give back to the sport and the team that has given me so much, Volleyball honestly saved my life it gave me a reason to keep showing up and that's what I did and if l am given the opportunity to be captain, I promise I will give everything I have to my teammates, my coaches, and this team. And show why I earned that role.
