I was responsible for creating & implementing VIP’s communication strategies for both the Violence Intervention Program & its philanthropic support group HEART as well as overseeing foundation, corporate and individual support strategies. In two months after accepting this position I implemented and managed a complete re-design of VIP’s website along with identifying a cohesive brand and marketing strategy across printed and digital materials and social media/websites. Under the Direction of the CEO I was responsible for:

  • Directing the creation of funding proposals for appropriate foundations
  • Developing a cohesive annual marketing & communications strategy which highlighted VIP’s programs to county & community stakeholders; including newsletters, management of website & social media accounts & printed materials highlighting the agency & the various therapeutic and medical programs offered to clients/patients

I managed the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Clinic, which is one of the few clinics across the country that provides medical and mental health services for children born prenatally exposed to alcohol. This included the management of several neurodevelopmental psychologists, and multiple pediatricians at the various HUB locations across Southern California.
