

Liezl Ferreira is an experienced and passionate educator with 19 years of experience teaching English in the Foundation Phase from 3 years to 12 years old. Liezl has taught in the United Kingdom and South Africa as well as Online. Her current position is the High School Business Teacher at Gackle-Streeter Public School. In her previous experiences, she taught the British and Cambridge Curriculums at two International Schools, where she worked as a classroom teacher, and became the Lower School Coordinator and Head of Department at these two International schools. Liezl describes herself in the following way: ‘My teaching philosophy is relationship orientated and student-centered, framed around a sense of high professional expectations of myself and high learning expectation of my students. I seek to engage students’ interest and creativity by exploring. My goal is to facilitate the development of responsible, creative, critical and collaboratively independent students with the skills necessary for life in the 21st century’.
