I have a background in youth coaching and mentoring. I am a good problem-solver, time management, and engaging with people in the community. I am doing my best to help create positive experiences and supporting community efforts through teamwork and ideas.
HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America): This club focuses on improving your knowledge in the healthcare field. It gives you a way to work and interact with different people.
CATS: This is a mentorship club that focuses on bringing the GenEd students with the Sped students. This club is so fun to be apart of and has taught me so many communication skills.
Sunshine Fund: This club is a non-profit student lead organization that raises money for the community to help families going through struggles to provide support and comfort for them.
My experience with reffing has resulted in better communication skills for myself, I have had to talk through conflicts with different coaches and players to help resolve any confusion to help the game maintain control and fairness.
Through the time I coached youth soccer I have developed age-appropriate training sessions to help young players achieve better skills and look to work together. I have also increased in having patience, being around and coaching players that are 5-8 years old can be difficult. Especially when there is about 8 of them on a team. I have learned to be positive with them while also being direct to help them improve in their soccer knowledge.
