Facilitate Process Groups, Individual Counseling, Human Relationship/Interpersonal Skills and Criminal Thinking psychoeducational courses. Managed the daily tasks, schedules and compliance for 7 employees. Completed case management on a caseload of 38 inmates, Complete Psychosocial in accordance with the DSM V for substance abuse disorders, assist in developing curriculum for psychoeducational courses. Complete and maintain all required clinical documentation.
Provided career counseling for Veterans with SBE’s, i.e., job development services for Veterans, refer Veterans to employment/training opportunities and assist Veterans with other workforce services (resume assistance, labor market information, job search workshops, one-stop career center orientation, etc.) Coordinated with Department of Veteran Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment counselors to provide case management assistance to VR&E (Chapter 31) special disabled Veterans and other Veterans with SBEs. Provided outreach to local organizations such as but not limited to local colleges, technical training centers, apprenticeship programs, and community based (non-profit - including faith-based) to educate the organizations serving Veterans on how to identify Veterans with SBEs’ and to refer Veterans to the Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist located at the Career Center for services.

Initiated take-off orders for appropriate tests, labs, etc. Admitted first time patients. Assisted veterans with job searches and other needs through Veteran’s Affairs. Improved office filing systems by creating a digitally alphabetized filing system that enabled us to search for and access veteran’s files more easily. Composed government letters to assist veterans with employment. Helped to develop resume-writing classes for veterans, as we as, job interviewing classes. Peer counseling with veterans struggling with PTSD, as well as other issues of concern to help adapt from military to civilian life.
