I have been a leading member of the Apple Valley High School band. during my sophomore year i became the leading vice president, often engaging in setting up for different events such as our band banquet, recitals. with this position i was also given the title of assistant drum major where i attended a 2 day drum major camp. with this training i have been able to lead the band effectively through multiple AVHS football games, and various parades and was announced with acclaim by both my band director and The victorville christmas parade announcer. other accomplishments during my vice presidency term include setting up various fundraising plans for money in the band bank account. i have volunteered at back to school night, organized sheet music and keeping marching band uniforms in check, and have encouraged people with interest in music to join band by leading example of other various instruments. with these accomplishments i have been given the opportunity to take the Presidency role in the AVHS band which i will be doing my junior year
