I volunteered with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), assisting members of the Stream Quality Monitoring team, where I gained hands-on experience with the stream quality monitoring process and learned how to assess the health of local waterways.
I have gained extensive hands-on experience working with my family's native plant garden. Identified native plants, removed invasive plants, assisted with prescribed burns, collected and processed seeds, propagated and transplanted plants, and operated various hand tools and gardening equipment.
