A Park Ranger II is responsible for providing customer service to patrons and reporting activities that violate state park rules and regulations at the state park, beach, or campground they are assigned to patrol. A Ranger II frequently interacts with the public by meeting with visitors to provide directions and information on parks or area facilities. A Ranger II is also responsible for assisting Park visitors.
