I am a recently graduated International Development and International Relations student eager to begin my professional career. I have long been passionate about serving communities on a multilateral scale, through meaningful grassroots projects and programs. I have a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in team-based or individually motivated settings.
Community Volunteer ─ Teaching
For 7 weeks in late 2019, 5 weeks in early 2020, and an additional 5 weeks in Summer 2023, I served as a Community Service Volunteer under the UK-based organization, Plan My Gap Year. I undertook my service in Vietnam, Indonesia and Tanzania. Under this role, I contributed to the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal Number 4 by teaching basic English and early education learning concepts to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Alongside the team of volunteers, I created a structured lesson plan of enriching activities to foster a positive environment for both the children and team. I dedicated time to meet with administrative staff of the Early Childhood Development Centers to discuss how operations can be strengthened and enriched to sustain the education of the students. Similarly, I organized fundraising campaigns through crowdfunding to support needs outlined by center. I have maintained a professional relationship with local teams post-departure to monitor the progress of the ECDCs.
Charity Volunteer ─ Coordinator and Project Manager
At Love Without Boundaries, I have had the privilege of currently holding two volunteer roles. In 2022, I began my service with LWB as a Volunteer Coordinator under their China Healing Home project. LWB’s Healing Homes Program helps orphaned and abandoned children in China and India with a wide variety of medical issues. Through this essential program, children facing medical challenges receive full-time, nurturing care. In 2023, I expanded my role as the India Healing Home Lead Volunteer Coordinator. In 2024, I was promoted to manager of this project. Under this role, I manage a team of volunteers who—alongside myself—write monthly updates to the children’s sponsors. Additionally, I provide donors with up-to-date information on the project, as well as communicate across LWB teams to address any concerns and sustain our mission. It is my responsibility to protect the identities and sensitive stories of these children, who have been abandoned pr relinquished due to their HIV+ diagnosis.
