Conducted tests on vegetated and unvegetated erosion control products under channelized, overtopping, and pipe outlet conditions to assess performance and effectiveness.
Assisted in constructing physical hydraulic models for Halligan Dam, Garrison Dam, and Valenciano Dam to help clients evaluate optimal designs for dam gates, spillways, baffle blocks, and slope elevation.
Developed physical models from AutoCAD designs to facilitate visualization and analysis of engineering projects.
Collaborated with private and government organizations to facilitate project goals.

Relevant Projects
Senior Design Project, Neota Creek Aquatic Organism Passageway, Fall 2025- Spring 2026
Designed and developed a culvert for cutthroat trout passage to restore the trout in their native habitat, Collaborated with the US Forest Service to meet client needs and code requirements
Focused on not only hydraulic modeling but maintaining the stream design in the culvert to provide effective transport for the organisms
Create models and plans on HEC-RAS and AutoCAD from LIDAR and collected data that are “Shovel Ready”
Garrison Dam, CSU Hydraulics Laboratory, Fall 2024 - Current
Created a 1:24 sized model of the proposed spillway design for Garrison Dam on the Missouri River in North Dakota
Collaborated with the Army Corps of engineers to model spillway, baffle block, and end sill configurations designs for optimal flow rate and water elevation for high flow rates
Ran simulations of model including controlling the water valve, taking data, and resetting the model between tests.
Assisted with writing and reviewing of the final report
Valenciano Dam, CSU Hydraulics Laboratory, Spring 2025 - Current
Tested measurements of water surface elevations and velocities in the reservoir, stilling basin, and exit channel to support quantitative analysis
Completed fabrication of 1:24 physical model to help guide design choices related to the stilling basin depth and length, spillway crest geometry, radial gates and baffle block configuration, obermeyer gate, and turbidity tower while comparing the results of the model against computer models.
