  • Classroom visits where I explained the merits of the department's various programs, which required memorizing a large amount of information and presenting it persuasively
  • Campus tours where high schoolers visited, which required extended extemporaneous speaking

  • Company Overview: The Muse is the undergraduate magazine publishing student-submitted literature and art at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (UW-W)
  • As Coeditor in Chief, I was responsible for organizing and managing all aspects of the magazine including:
  • Managerial: Scheduling and running weekly meetings, delegating work, organizing and hosting events, coordinating with campus departments, solving interpersonal issues, and recruiting new members
  • Editorial: Coordinating the evaluation process, soliciting submissions, facilitating debates regarding the content of the publication, teaching staff members general editing guidelines, and line-editing pieces
  • Financial: Creating and defending a yearly budget, scheduling catering, keeping track of financial records
  • Led as the head layout designer, collaborating with another staff member in preparing the final document for publishing
  • This involved in-depth InDesign work, designing art assets, and communicating by hard deadlines
  • Led as social media manager, creating Instagram and Twitter posts notifying students on deadlines, events, etc
