Served as program manager for the Emergency Preparedness Program. Developed curriculum for severe weather, fire, bomb threat, and intruder drills in the buildings. Administered training to Emergency Coordinators and their alternates. Conducted required and reported results to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Conducted quarterly training with the EOC to ensure efficient state of readiness and awareness.


Disseminated and coordinated the Quarterly Safety Training Program with the Safety Training Officers within the Department of Public Safety, per Department of Labor guidelines


Supervised the Surplus Property Program and Insurance Inventory. Obtained authorization from Department of Central Services (DCS) for approval to send broken/obsolete/used furniture and equipment to state surplus.

Developed and loaded the data base for the NAMRADS when it was activated and placed online.


Prepared monthly CIM (Communication Improvement Memorandum) reports to be sent to the message center customers regarding the errors on their outgoing messages that had to be manually corrected and retransmitted. A quarterly report was also sent to COMNAVTELCOM (Commandeer Naval Telecommunications Command) in reference to our customer CIM reports.

Worked in message centers processing incoming and outgoing message traffic. While on Guam, the message center processed over 10,000 messages a month just sending out message traffic for sponsorship of the Vietnam refugees.

Instructor at Radioman "A" School. Teaching the fundamentals of basic shipboard systems and the equipment used.


Naples, Italy

Stationed at COMSUBGRU 8 (Commander Submarine Group 8). Processed the message traffic to send to the submarines that were deployed to the Mediterranean.


Norfolk, VA

Stationed at CINCLANTFLT (Commander in Chief Atlantic

Fleet) in the EOC (Emergency Operations Center). We participated in drills to ensure that the security of communications is maintained in case of enemy attack. We monitored communications from ships and aircraft maintaining that security.
