and Wildland fire mitigation and support activities. LMG Forestry LLC provides forest restoration projects that improve wildlife habitats and reduce wildfire risk to communities and public lands.

MAJOR DUTIES: CONSULTING, NWCG COURSE INSTRUCTOR, OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP, PROCUREMENT CONTRACTS, CLIENT RELATIONS, HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS

Provides consultations with private land owners to develop a comprehensive land management plan. Focusing on treatment methods such such as prescribed fire, mechanical treatments and fire resistant landscaping. Coordinates and facilitates NWCG courses and Wildland Fire annual refresher trainings to private contractors.

Manage all filings related to articles of organization, LLC Operating Agreement and annual

reporting with the Secretary of State. Responsible for all financial accounts linked to LMG Forestry LLC including but not limited to; Quickbooks, Excel and Payroll.

Manage all applications and accounts related to Government awarded contracts. Prepare bids, quote and negotiate contract changes with client and vendors. Insure pre-construction

services, budgeting and Continuous Improvement Programs.

Develop and implement the project safety compliance program within the guideline of

OSHA, LMG Forestry LLC and clients safety requirements. Initiate project safety meetings

for on-site supervisors and labor force.

Ensure JHA and Tailgate safety forms are properly completed by all project participants

and archived. Ensure all required licenses, experience, credentials and PPE for project participants.

Communicate with client on scope of work defining project specific activities, deliverables

and timelines. Review contract, maps and specifications during project phase and ongoing operational periods. Develop the project schedule and direct its long term planning and execution. Communicate and coordinate schedule & plan with subcontractors and vendors.

Ensure client is receiving periodic project status. Plan and implement meetings with

client to communicate contract objectives are being achieved.

Develop and meet project timelines and budgets, ensuring formal project approval processes

and other quality control guidelines are followed.

Write subcontracts and purchase orders for field generated purchases and contracts. Review

and approve related subcontractor and client invoices and change requests.

Maintain open communication with all other support and business units involved with the

project.

Maintain open line of communication with the state, federal and county officials.

Safely operate all equipment by adhering to OSHA, ODOT and company standards and federal

and state laws. Ensured the proper safety and project signs are in place on each road and unit project area. Preform daily preventative maintenance and simple field repairs on the equipment. Skid logs to landing to be processed with rubber tired skidder. Operate log loader to move, organize and deck logs. Operate log loader to build machine piles from the slash generated by the processor. Operate excavator to remove tree stumps and load dump trucks during haul road building projects. Operate 10 yard dump truck to haul material for road building. Operated 4,000 gallon water tender to water haul roads. Operated 40000 class roller in the construction of haul road building.

Operate D3 CAT Strip Mulcher to masticate logging units and develop wildlife habitats.

I worked directly with the Forest Service to ensure unit boundaries, project obstacles, project objectives and quality of work were being identified and implemented each shift.

OVERVIEW

Twenty years as a Wildland Firefighter for the USDA Forest Service. Greater portion of professional experience has come from working with Interagency Hotshot Crews and Incident Management Teams. I have had the opportunity to work with several disciplines within the agency

including; fire dispatch, aviation, wildlife, hydrology, silviculture and recreation.

MAJOR DUTIES: LEADERSHIP, SUPERVISION, TRAINING & EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT

Regularly function as Incident Commander and Division Supervisor on rapidly transitioning fires with high value equipment, structures and resources in areas of high risk to public and private lands. Supervisory experience includes leading and managing various and multiple types of resources and equipment. Prioritizing work assignments, creating and implementing strategic and tactical objectives. Rapid decision making and the ability to quickly and effectively build fire suppression resources to distribute work load, respond to changing work environment and successfully meet assigned tasks and objectives in the operational, logistical and planning arenas.

Applies the Risk Management Process to manage varying types of resources and cooperating agency personnel. Ensures safety of public and the safety and productivity of all incident resources.

Served on specialist hiring panel for the Coconino National Forest and the Umpqua National Forest. Recruiting and hiring of fire personnel. Conducted interviews and reference checks on potential eligible applicants.

Served as a Lead IQCS account manager. Assisted the Newberry West Fire Operations Specialist with Fire History and qualifications data entry for Deschutes National Forest personnel.

Performed Redcard Folder audits and made recommendations on qualification currencies and needed trainings.

Routinely led many aspects of firefighter training/mentoring, crew organization and assuring professionalism and completion of assigned tasks for organizations of up to 75 firefighters across complex landscapes of up to 1.2 million acres and multiple districts. Functioned in this capacity in variety of conditions and settings including; Urban Interface, primary watersheds, critical habitat areas and remote wilderness areas. Resource disciplines have been Type 2 Team Division, Type 1 Interagency Hotshot Crews, Initial Attack Modules, Helitack Crews, Fuels Management Crews, Firefighting Guard School and Regular Crews. Assignments have included hotline and indirect line construction, burn- out operations, mop-up, RX burning, project work and NWCG course facilitation.

Forestry Technician Training Specialist, Wolf Creek Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center, Umpqua National Forest

OVERVIEW

Training and Development Specialist for the Forestry Conservation and Fire Management Vocational program at Wolf Creek Job Corps serving more than 200 students.

MAJOR DUTIES: LEADERSHIP, SUPERVISION, TRAINING & EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT

Proficient at quality control of an educational program. Continually analyzed program for it’s effectiveness, improvement opportunities and provided recommendations for revisions, modifications, or establishment of new policies, methods, staffing levels and procedures.

Responsible for developing and recommending work projects and training assignments to the WCJC Center Director by fully describing project/training development, alternatives, cost, priorities and timelines.

Developed and maintained partnerships with the Douglas County community and NFS partners to secure long-term student placement, productive student training opportunities and meaningful participation in Umpqua National Forest management goals. Utilized the WCJC students in the planning and implementation of training and work projects for local, state, contractor and various agency cooperators. Established paid work assignments and job placement for the WCJC students with said cooperators. Collaborated with the work assignment agreement specialist to ensure partners and cooperators understood and complied with work agreements.

Provided leadership to course preparation and implementation. Prepared job announcements, specific instructional and performance objectives, selected instructors and instructional materials. Ensured existing training guides met specific course needs and were consistent with policy, procedures and techniques of user agencies. Provided oversight and expertise to the use of study guides, visual aids, simple simulations, complex field activities, written test, training aids and course outlines. Served as Primary Fire Training Specialist and subject matter expert for 200+ students and staff, facilitating refresher training sessions and serving as Lead Instructor for the Fire Guard School.

This work was accomplished in cooperation with the Umpqua National Forest training Specialist and Fire personnel. Lead instructor for multiple annual sessions of NWCG courses such as S-212, S-211, and L-180, S-190, I-100, IS-700 and RT-130 along with the planning and administration of the Work Capacity Test. Served on the Guard School cadre at Umpqua Community College in cooperation with the Douglas Forest Protection Agency. Planned, developed and implemented Guard School training several times a year for the staff and students of the Wolf Creek Job Corps program. Primary assistant to the Forest Training Specialist for the development, tracking and archiving of employee and WCJC student IQCS records and profiles.
