• Post anesthesia care RN for a 1000 bed Level 1 trauma center recovering patients from pediatric age to the elderly patient who have undergone general surgery and cardiac operating room procedures. Procedures include, but not limited to, acute trauma, kidney transplant, neurological surgeries, burn care surgeries, pulmonary surgeries, vascular surgeries, orthopedic surgeries.

• Working in an 18 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit caring for patients with complex medical diagnosis. Experienced in Continuous Renal Replacement (CRRT) using the PrismaFlex System and the NxStage System. Experienced in Therapeutic Hypothermia using the Coolguard 3000 unit and IcyCath catheter for acute liver failure and post cardiac arrest.

• Clinical Coordinator for a 12 bed Intensive Care Unit and a 6 bed Progressive Care Unit.

• Providing nursing care to local hospitals in the Intensive Care Units. These units included Surgical/Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiovascular Surgery ICU, Coronary Care ICU, Burn ICU, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU.

• Clinical research coordinator for Phase 2 and Phase 3 cardiac pharmaceutical and cardiac device trials conducted in local hospitals and physician offices. Responsibilities included coordinating with hospital and office management and staff, IRB submission, patient recruitment and safety while adhering to the research protocol throughout the research process.

• Overseeing cardiac populations of myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure and patients undergoing cardiac interventions and coordinated cardiac research trials. Transformed a 42 bed general medical unit and nursing staff into 2 split units. These units became a cardiac stendown/progressive care unit and a post cardiac interventional unit.

• Provided cardiac education to nationwide health care providers and organizations.
